The typical gradient makes a smooth transition from the foreground color to the background color. (There are also other gradients that display different effects, such as Golden for making metallic golden glows, Neon Cyan for making neon lights, or the fun Radial Eyeball choices for making bloodshot eyes.) With the Gradient tool selected in the Toolbox, mouse down in one place, drag to another place, and release the mouse button to draw a gradient into the current layer (of course, if there s a selection, the tool will only draw inside it).

There isn t a dependable way to determine by inspection what these files are, so the documentation is key at this point. Here are some conventions: Kernels are frequently in zImage format, so file names have these patterns: zFileName FileName.zimage

If the kernel is for an x86 board, it s usually in bzImage format. A bzImage is a compressed image that looks like a x86 boot sector, only it s larger than the boot sector size. If the board uses the U-Boot boot loader (the board s manual explains if it does), the kernel is named like the following. A uImage is a zImage with some additional information for the U-Boot boot loader: uFileName

This will constrain your dragged line to a multiple of 15 degrees, which makes it much easier to drag a perfectly horizontal or vertical line. For the Confirm QA control, you can use the Confirmation_YesNo rule from the built-in grammar library, Library.grxml. Click Add Existing Grammar and specify that grammar file and rule.
